Shortcode blocker: stop shortcodes where they cause trouble

A shortcode that is stopped does not run at all: its plugin loads no script and asks the database for nothing. The Shortcode blocker (Baza Helper > Shortcode blocker) keeps a shortcode out of one page, a whole post type, or switches every shortcode off where it causes trouble.

Add a rule

  1. Under Add a rule choose Where: Every post and page, Some post types or Some posts, by ID (for example 12, 34, 56).
  2. Choose Stop: All shortcodes or Only these shortcodes (for example gallery, contact-form-7).
  3. Choose What is shown instead: nothing, or leave the shortcode text on the page as typed.
  4. Save.

Until you add a rule, the tab says No rules yet: every shortcode runs everywhere. Remove this rule takes one away.

Scope

By default a rule covers what is printed through the post’s own content. Also stop shortcodes outside the content (widgets, builder elements) on those pages extends it to the whole page of a rule’s post.

Shortcodes on this site

The list at the bottom shows every shortcode registered on the site. Use Search with part of a shortcode name to find one before you write a rule.
