Speed advisor: find what slows your site down
The Speed advisor reads your home page and lists what to turn on in Baza Helper. It also names the problems that only your theme can fix. You choose which switches to apply, and the plugin turns them on in one click.
Where to find it
Open Baza Helper, go to the Cache & Optimization section, and find the card Speed advisor.
Analyze your site
Press Analyze this site. The advisor loads your home page and checks the head of the page: stylesheets and scripts that block the first paint, and font hints. If you imported a Lighthouse report in the card below, the advisor uses it too.
Apply the recommendations
Tick the recommendations you want and press the button to apply them. The list can include:
- Page cache with static delivery
- A longer cache lifetime of six hours
- Combining local stylesheets into one file
- Fonts that show text at once and load the main fonts early
- Deferring the scripts of Elementor and its add-ons
- Deferring all scripts, jQuery and the theme included
- Protecting and preloading the largest picture
- Lazy-loading the pictures below the first screen
What only the theme can fix
Some findings cannot be solved by a switch, for example a theme script that blocks the page. The advisor lists them in the notes under the recommendations, so you can pass them to the developer of your theme.
Test after you apply
Check your pages after you apply the changes. Deferred scripts can change how a page behaves, so test forms, sliders and menus.
