WooCommerce integration
WooCommerce as the payment gateway
Let your clients book on a WooCommerce product page and pay in the shop, with any payment method the shop
already has: card, PayPal, bank transfer, cash on delivery. It is in every plan and needs no key.
Turn it on
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Open Settings – Payment gateway and choose WooCommerce.
- Make sure the shop’s currency is the same as the plugin’s currency.
Sell a service as a product
- Add a product and set its type to Baza booking.
- On the Booking tab choose the Service it sells.
- Publish. The shop shows “From ” and a Select date button; if the product has no picture, the
service’s picture is used.
The price, the free times and the extras all come from the service, so there is nothing to keep in two places.
What the client sees
- On the product page: a small calendar, the free hours of the chosen day with their prices, the extras (if the
service has any) and the total. Book now puts the booking in the cart. - In the cart and at the checkout: the date and times under the product name, the price, no quantity box. If a
time was taken meanwhile, or the price changed, the client is told. - After paying: the usual booking confirmation.
What happens to the booking
| Order in the shop | Booking in the plugin |
|---|---|
| Paid (processing, completed) | Booked |
| Waiting for the money (bank transfer, cheque) | Stays pending, the time is held |
| Cash on delivery | Stays pending until the order is marked completed |
| Cancelled or failed | Rejected |
| Refunded | Rejected |
If you reject or cancel the booking in the plugin, an unpaid order is cancelled too.
The booking panel links to the order and the order links back to the booking.
In the bookings list a badge shows how it is paid: “Paid, Card”, “Pay later, Cash on delivery”, and so on.
Coupons
Shop coupons work. The booking keeps the discounted price, and the booking’s price history says that a shop coupon
was used. The history is for you; the client does not see it.
Moving from WooCommerce Bookings
Under WooCommerce – Import bookings you can preview and then import products, resources and bookings from
WooCommerce Bookings. Nothing in WooCommerce Bookings is changed, and you can run the import again safely.
Availability rules are not carried over: set the service’s working hours in the plugin.
Good to know
- Balance top-ups cannot be paid through WooCommerce.
- The shop’s own e-mails for these orders are off, because the plugin sends its own booking e-mails.
- Everything made by developers (hooks, templates) is described in WooCommerce integration for developers.
