Connect PayPal Payments
PayPal sends the plugin a message when a payment is made or refused. For that, the plugin needs your PayPal keys and a webhook in your PayPal account.
Choose PayPal
Open Settings, then Payments. In Payment gateway choose PayPal and enter the keys shown for it.
Enter the keys
Fill in these fields:
- PayPal Client ID
- PayPal Secret Key
- PayPal Webhook ID: you get it after you save the webhook in PayPal, see below
Add the webhook in PayPal
Copy the address shown in PayPal Webhook URL. In your PayPal developer dashboard open Apps & Credentials, choose your app and press Add Webhook. Paste the address and tick these events:
- Required, so that a booking is confirmed: Checkout order completed and Payment capture completed
- Recommended, so that an unpaid booking is rejected: Checkout order declined, Checkout order voided, Payment capture declined and Payment capture denied
Save the webhook, copy its ID and paste it into PayPal Webhook ID in the plugin. Other events are ignored, so ticking more does no harm.
Test on a development site
On a development site the plugin uses the PayPal sandbox instead of the live service. Use sandbox keys there, and live keys only on the live site.
